Sad I know
I cannot believe it has been so very long since I have written anything on our blog. so much has happened in a year. But today I need to share about a very special lady her name is Cleo Nay. I have been one of her aides that has had the privileged of helping to take care of for the past year. Although she had MS and was in bed for the past 15 years, she was always one that helped lift you up. Cleo you will be missed. I would hope that my children and grand children could say half of the good things yours said about you today. I know that you are running and singing with all of your heart up there in heaven. Till we meet again sweet lady. Love YA!

Christmas
What a wonderful Christmas we had this year. First we we went as a family to see "The Forgotten Carols" One of my favorites. This is the first time seeing it since we moved back to Utah. Jennifer got tickets for all of to see it together. Nice surprise. Then we had our Family Christmas dinner at Richards house the Sunday before Christmas. We had Chicken soup, dumplings & rolls. We played games, and made gingerbread houses.Lots of fun. I wish I had pictures to show you. I love our family so much.
Then Christmas morning came. Amber & Jennifer stayed over night and helped with the last minute cleaning etc. Then they made me go to bed around 8:30 Because they had to get things ready for "Santa". It is strange to have the tables turn on you. But well worth it. I got a new 23 inch monitor for my PC. Wow!!!! Plus lots of other goodies. to many to count. We have had a hard year. And I want to have this year gone, But I have looked back and seen how much the Lord has blessed us. Larry and I have better jobs,Jason is home from his mission in Alaska, Kim is back with the family, We are all in Utah, close by each other. We still have some trails to deal with, and I am sure many more as well. But we are together, we are the best Thomas family ever.

Ahhhh the feel of fall is in the air
Can you feel it? I know it is just around the corner, the change of color on the leaves in the trees, the crisp feel in the air. Some of our favorite show are back on TV. And school has started, Even for me, Yes that is right I am taking a class to get my CNA certification. Larry is very happy about this, so maybe he won't have to work so hard for so long. We will see how it goes. the class is only 4 weeks long so maybe by the middle of Oct. I will be making more money. Yea!!!! And I am also working to get several Quilts finished. My next post will show the one I am finishing for Jennifer. It is for her birthday this Last March. It's late but she will love it none the less.

Well it is official, We got the letter today that let's us know Jason is coming home
Tuesday July 21, 09. I know what some of you are thinking, has it been two years all ready? Yes it has, we are all very excited to see and hold him in our arms once more, to hear his laugh that reaches deep into his eyes.
He will get here at 7:39 am. The poor boy will be getting on the plane around 3:00 in the morning. I hope he sleeps well on the plane because there are to too many people waiting for him to get home. The letter goes on to let all of us know what a wonderful missionary he has been and how much he has done to build up the kingdom in the Anchorage Alaska mission.
Thank you to all of you that have helped to support Jason while he was serving the Lord. With your letters and prayers I know that he has appreciated them and grown stronger because of them. Laura :)

Birthday's
Birthday's are very interesting, What do we really what for our birthday's anyway? Another gray hair that will be harder to "deep condition". Another ache and pain somewhere. World peace, that would be nice. Nope, Family & friends around. This year Larry and I went out with Michelle & Bart McCoard to have dinner at The Rib City, to have the best Ribs I have ever tasted. Then they treated us to see "UP" the new pixar movie. What a great time we had. It helped me forget for about three hours some of the rest of our life. Haaaaa Friends! They are the best.
The next day for Father's day & my birthday Amber & Jennifer made us a nice dinner of Fish, roasted potatoes, Salad,& other good stuff. Yum all good food with the best family around.
Today I found out one of my favorite clients died Friday. I had just seen her Thursday, She was so happy to be out of the hospital and to have some family coming Tuesday. I will miss this wonderful Lady. So I guess bring on the aches & pains and the gray hair. and always pray for world peace. I hope I will have as many friends and family around and be love as this women was.

Weather in Lehi
Last night we had a big storm, it was so neat. The clouds were so dark and full of rain. And then the lighting going from cloud to cloud then to the ground. Amber took this picture, I don't know how it will show up but I thought I would share it. This past week we have had quite of few storms role through Utah. which is great for the water that is needed for everyone's garden.
